Specialized Travel Assistance

With the aim of providing maximum comfort to our customers, Infitravel Saúde™ offers a special service to all customers/passengers who request it, particularly those with reduced mobility, natural or caused by illness, both at the airport and during their trip.

To do so, you must request the support to Infitravel Saúde™ at the time of your reservation or, at most, up to 48 hours before your departure to Lisbon.

Specialized Assistance is intended for the following customers:

  • Passengers with mobility difficulties;

  • Passengers with visual or auditory impairments;

  • Passengers transported in a stretcher (payment of rate);

  • Passengers requiring onboard oxygen (fee payment);

  • Elder passengers;

  • Families with children;

  • Extra places to transport fragile, bulky items, among others (fee payment).

Medical Authorization

Please let us know your health condition so that we can provide you with the best possible care. A medical case is a specific clinical situation where the passenger's condition requires personalized assistance or dependence on third parties. In these cases, the passenger's personal physician must complete the medical form (MEDIF), describing the diagnosis (s) and clinical situation. MEDIF is required when the passenger has a history of recent illness, hospitalization, recent surgery, or any unstable physical condition. It must be delivered up to 48 hours before the flight.

If one of the situations below applies to you, consult a doctor before traveling:

  • Chronic heart disease (eg, angina pectoris, heart failure);

  • Recent acute myocardial infarction;

  • Recent stroke;

  • Severe cases of otitis media with obstruction of the Eustachian tube;

  • Severe cases of mediastinal tumors, extremely large hernias, intestinal obstruction, diseases with increased intracranial pressure, cranial fracture or recent fracture of the mandible, with immobilization;

  • Recent surgery, particularly thoracic, abdominal, cranial or ocular;

  • An untreated active or contagious infectious disease;

  • Hospital transfer;

  • Need to transport on a stretcher or in an incubator;

  • Need for medical, nursing or paramedical care;

  • Need for extra oxygen or other medical equipment on board;

  • Complicated pregnancy or after 36 weeks gestation or 32 weeks when pregnancy is multiple (twins);

  • Infants less than 7 days old;

  • Mental diseases requiring strong sedation or restriction of movement;

  • Any not controlled disease or that the transport may contribute to its eventual aggravation;

  • A physical or behavioral condition that may be dangerous or discomfort to other passengers in terms of flight safety.

As members of the European Network of Accessible Tourism (ENAT) we know how to help you.

We await you and your family, to visit Portugal.
